Fascinating. Thanks. I too collect clocks but not at this quality for sure. However, I've given up on the Westminster chimers and now onto French perpetual calendar clocks and other visible Brocot escapement clocks. I also like antique cuckoo clocks and Comtoise clocks but only with at least a date hand and possibly even a 1/4 chimer. If you have a perpetual calendar clocks please let's see it and you can comment on it. Maybe I should too!

Wonderful clock. I wonder what the name of the tune was? Good point about having a clock that others have enjoyed for many many generations. Think of all the major events this clock has seen?! Kings & Queens & War etc. Gives one a good sense of continuity. Everyone should own a nice old clock.
