Mickey Mantle is a legend. If he stopped drinking he would've been best of the best. He was an awesome Yankee that deserved what he got. Until he started drinking was when it happened. He got really into it and uhm well :(

Mantle had more natural power and speed combination that any player in history. Mays,Rose,ect had better careers but Mantle was the best, build like Mr. America.

I grew up watching baseball back when it was free, when the country seemed to be free, but then the strike happened, and now everything is messed up it seems, to roid athletes, to gas prices, the government. Baseball to me was and still is one of the great american pastimes. I just wish life was a little less clusterf*cked and we could get back to the simpler way of life. I wish I could live in the 50-60's with drive ins, a&w's, no internet, a car was for pleasure, the good times.

Im a big fan of baseball and idf mickey mantle lived and took care of himself. He would have been the best of the best.
