Georgia was deluded to think they could attack Ossetia, when Russian forces were massed just across the border-waiting for an excuse to kick Saakashvili's ass and make Georgia part of the Soviet Union again. However, I don't see any Russian TV reports about how Ossetians are destroying Georgian villages, now that Russian forces protect them. I think Georgia would be wise to cede Akbazia and Ossetia to Russia, lick its' wounds, and buy lots of ATGMs, for the next time, if it gets the chance.

Ever heard of a thing called "the USSR"? That's Russia. Ever heard of a thing called "the Iron Curtain"? That was the boundary between "Europe" and "the USSR" during "the Cold War". Ever heard of a thing called "the Commonwealth of Independant States"? That's what came after "the USSR" was dissolved by Russia, and "the Iron Curtain" was no more. It included Georgia.Georgia has since removed itself from the CIS literally just after getting owned by Russia, on the 14th of August.
